I Believe! We Can Do Hard Things!

Session Description

Catholic schools are called to be communities where every child is known, valued, and loved. Yet creating truly inclusive schools requires more than believing that all students belong. It requires school and parish communities to advocate, collaborate, challenge barriers, and work together to make inclusion a reality.

Objectives

This keynote explores the mission-centered why of inclusive Catholic education and the powerful benefits that emerge when students of different abilities are welcomed as full members of our school communities. Together, we will examine the barriers and assumptions that too often lead us to ask, “Can we serve this student?” and consider how we shift our conversations to “What would it take for us to serve this student?” and make it happen!

I believe! When we leverage our collective gifts, expertise, resources, and commitment, we are better together and can do hard things!
