Presenter Bio

A Professor of the University of Kansas, Sean is focused on supporting educators and family members in their efforts to meaningfully include all children in Catholic education.  For over thirty years, Sean has been blessed to work with Catholic schools from Washington, DC to Phoenix, AZ and everywhere in between. Focused on implementing educational practices that work, Sean regularly conducts research and publishes scholarly papers in journals such as the Journal of Catholic Education. He has collaborated with a number of Catholic-focused entities including assisting in the development of the University of Notre Dame’s Program for Inclusive Education (where he served as adjunct faculty until the summer of 2024) as well as the FIRE Foundation.  Yes, blessed to be an educator, researcher, and scholar, however, most proud to be a parent of four wonderful children.  Sean’s oldest son, Nolan, has Down syndrome and has directed much of Sean’s efforts, particularly in furthering opportunities in Catholic education for all learners
