Support FIRE Foundation
Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed. Your generous support makes that possible.
When you give to FIRE Foundation, you empower educators, champion inclusive Catholic education, and ensure that students with exceptionalities receive the support they need to thrive alongside their peers.
Your gift helps provide Catholic schools within the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph with vital resources to support students with special needs. Through your generosity, FIRE Foundation supports partner schools by:
- Hiring paraprofessionals and special educators
- Acquiring essential learning technology
- Offering professional development
- Helping make Catholic schools accessible to students with disabilities

Donor Advised Funds
Please contact your DAF sponsoring organization to learn how to recommend a grant to FIRE Foundation using the following information:
Legal Name: Foundation for Inclusive Religious Education dba FIRE Foundation
Federal Tax ID Number: 43-17771385
Address: 20 W 9th St Kansas City, MO 64105
Please ask your sponsoring organization to include your name and address in any grant report or transmittal letter. FIRE Foundation may not be able to accept DAF grants made without identification of the donor advisor.
To ensure compliance with tax rules, the FIRE Foundation is not able to accept grants made from a donor-advised fund as payments towards an existing pledge. In addition, donor advisors may not receive “a more than incidental benefit” as a result of the distribution of funds from a DAF to the FIRE Foundation. We encourage you to speak with your DAF sponsoring organization or tax advisor regarding the potential tax consequences of your receipt of benefits in connection with a distribution from your donor-advised fund.
Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)
Make a difference today and save on taxes.
A QCD is a direct transfer of funds from your traditional IRA to FIRE Foundation. A QCD is not considered taxable income and can be used to satisfy your required minimum distribution from your IRA. To be eligible you must be 70 ½ years old at the time of the distribution.
Appreciated Stock, Mutual Funds and Other Marketable Securities
Donating appreciated publicly traded securities that you have held for longer than 12 months may allow you to claim a charitable deduction for the full market value of the securities on the date the gift is made while avoiding tax on the capital gain. Please consult your personal tax advisor for advice.
Contact us at amy@firefoundation.org for instructions on how to make a gift of securities to the FIRE Foundation.
Please ask your bank to include your name in the details of any stock transfer to expedite processing and ensure proper acknowledgement of your gift.
